Is it a Learning Difficulty?
Age Group: All ages,
Timings: 9:00 AM-3:30 PM

A mother wonders why her 4-year old daughter is not as good at throwing ball as most other children her age. She talks to her husband about it, but he says “It’s okay, she will learn in her own time,” and everyone in the family forgets about it.
Similarly, another child often gets scolded for not being able to tell the time despite his age. “Why can’t you focus?” we yell. Same story repeats in different ways for many children who are unable to improve handwriting, or read too slowly, or fail to remember simple stuff.
Every child attains growth milestones at different times and a parent is always wise to wait patiently. But if certain red flags keep appearing in daily life, a conscious parent will always talk to a counsellor and check if there’s anything to worry about.
As a proactive parents, in case you find out at the right time that your child has a learning difficulty, then you won’t get anxious. Instead, you can work with the counsellor on using the right therapies and techniques to calmly help the child achieve his/her developmental milestones.
If a parents ignores the important signs of Learning Difficulty at the early ages, it could mean that later in life that child may struggle at acquiring important life skills. Such as learning new things, communication, managing money, reading, writing, or personal care.
So let’s talk! A simple chat for 30 minutes could bring immense clarity and positivity in your family.
YES, I WOULD LIKE TO TALK TO A COUNSELLOR ABOUT MY CHILD.
